Clarks Originals has gained a large and eclectic footwear fan base worldwide, but that’s not without centuries of designing and refining. Originally known as C. & J. Clarks, the British brand was founded by brother duo Cyprus and James in the early 1800s. It didn’t become the brand we recognise today until the great-grandson of James Clark, Nathan took stewardship after World War II. After serving in the Royal Army Service Corps during the War, Nathan studied standard issue military gear, which inspired some of the brand’s most iconic silhouettes.
The Wallabee
Defined by simplicity in structure and style, the Wallabee became the shoe of choice for the era’s revolutionaries, free thinkers and counterculture icons, with its authentic moccasin suede upper construction, sitting atop a natural crepe outsole. Many decades later and this silhouette remains an enduring cult classic. Choose from our selection of Maple Suede, Green Combi and Cola to add to your collection.
A new style for Garbrore is the Wallabee GTX Shoes, a pair made in the classic profile that’s outdoors ready, with its durable chunky, cleated Vibram® sole, together with webbing tape and GORE-TEX® technology for protection against the elements.
The Desert Trek
The Desert Trek silhouette was first designed in the early 70s and became renowned for its unusual foot shape defined by its distinctive central butt seam and classic Trek Man emblem, features that have been unaltered for over 40 years.
